If these walls could speak they would tell stories of visitors welcomed here for over a thousand years. And whilst other venues have tried hard to imitate what we have, it never quite works.

We constantly strive to be innovative and creative in our approach. So, after thinking long and hard about how we might help couples who are planning their wedding during a cost of living crisis, we have reduced our summer wedding prices by £1000. And we’re going further…come and see us with a quote from any other wedding venue in the area and we will beat the price you’ve been offered by ten percent if you book with us...and unlike most venues there are no hidden costs.

We only host a small number of weddings each year so contact us early to avoid disappointment.

The Courtyard gives you the opportunity to really make your wedding your own; to ensure it reflects your taste and that you celebrate just as you would like to. We don’t offer wedding factory type packages, it’s not our style and it’s not yours either. We believe our couples are special, unique individuals who deserve a stand-out wedding which they and their loved ones will remember forever.

Summer Weekends May 1st to September 1st £4750

Weekdays May 1st to September 30th £3200

We are legally required to be on-site for all marriages conducted by the registrar and make a £300.00 charge for providing this service. This fee is waived for all celebrant and reception-only bookings. Price based on exclusive hire including our tables and chairs.

All prices exclude VAT (VAT Registration Number 162 2037 02) An additional £500 damage and cleaning deposit is chargeable with all bookings and, on condition the venue is handed back to us in the same state as at the commencement of hiring, will be refunded post-event.

Perhaps a big wedding is just not your style and you’d like to do something completely different. More and more couples are choosing to take themselves away, focus on each other and plan a wonderful private wedding just for two. Whether you simply don’t have the time to organise it, would rather not be the centre of attention or would prefer to have a smaller wedding and a blowout honeymoon - our romantic elopement getaway for two might be just what you’re looking for.

Our location is perfect for you and your guests, whatever time of year you decide to marry. With excellent rail and road links, airports and private air strips for those travelling from further afield.

There are some beautiful places on our doorstep for your guests to explore if they choose to extend their stay to a holiday. The Berwyn Mountains, the majestic waterfalls of Pistyll Rhaedr, the Tanat Valley, and Pontcysyllte World Heritage Site are all close by.
